i forgot to post some of the greatest news of my month.
miss corry from the green bay area (bay area baby) was BAPTIZED!!!
corry is the most incredible girl i know. she is seventeen and so dang faithful and determined. the missionaries meet her sweet face and started teaching her in the summer. but corry realizes the impact of making such sacred commitments that she wasn't just about to jump into the waters.
i was able to teach corry the last few months of my mission and set her baptismal date. the lessons we taught to our corry were some of the best memories i have. i was at the peak of my mission, never had i felt closer to heavenly father. my companion and i were like two peas in a pod and corry connected with us like hi-speed wireless.
the reason hearing about corry's baptism makes my month/week/2009 so much better is that i'm realizing the impact of my missionary services last beyone the 18 months i served. there are many others like corry who i taught who will be baptized. there are family members and friends of those who were baptized while i was laboring among the saints of wisconsin that are going to inherit the blessings of following the savior.
thank goodness for the gospel in my life. i have def had a hard hard hard time adjusting to this story of utah life. my heart breaks every morning when i don't have a companion to pray with or a lesson to prepare for. but i know that the savior watches over me. and i'm moving on...
love you corry girl.
miss your pretty little face.
